The radio edit version of An Element of Surprise is not just a shortened version of the piece. With An Element of Surprise, a heavier sound was the intent when Cartheus released it on Beyond the Visible. However, isolating the track on its own single has allowed Cartheus to sustain the heavy and “right to the point” style they initially intended. With the central theme of Beyond the Visible taking away from a heavier Cartheus sound, An Element of Surprise (Radio Edit) is truly the best of both worlds…
